Woodland Walks and Sculpture Garden

Gardens

Welcome to Tre-Ysgawen Hall, where nature’s beauty takes center stage. Our historic estate offers a serene escape with meticulously maintained grounds. If you are looking for the most beautiful gardens and woodland walks in Anglesey, you have found the perfect sanctuary.

Discover Our Sculpture Garden and Walled Garden

iOur gardens and woodland walks in Anglesey showcase nature’s artistry in every corner. We have lovingly transformed the grounds with rare plants and exquisite sculptures. A highlight of our estate is the enchanting walled garden. It features a mesmerising Laburnum arch and a historic Victorian bath. Art lovers will appreciate our dedicated sculpture garden. We host captivating pieces like 'Silver Spirit' and Simon Gudgeon's 'IDEAS'. These minimalist forms capture movement and emotion, blending perfectly with the natural landscape of North Wales.

Our gardens boast a diverse collection of flora, including the delicate snowdrop wood, a wide variety of conifers, and a magnificent specimen of the Pittosporum 'Tom Thumb'. These botanical wonders provide a picturesque backdrop for your stay, ensuring you are surrounded by natural beauty at every turn.

Seasonal Beauty During Your Woodland Strolls

One of our most beloved features is the delightful woodland walk. This scenic path invites you to immerse yourself in tranquility. The gardens and woodland walks in Anglesey are famous for their biodiversity, and Tre-Ysgawen Hall is no exception. Depending on the season, you will encounter vibrant bluebell woods or cheerful daffodil displays. You can also visit the nearby Bangor Museum to see historic stones originally from our estate (Ye aapka Outbound Link hai). Whether it is a pre-lunch stroll or a quiet moment of reflection, our grounds offer a unique journey every time.

A Journey Through Art and Nature

Our gardens are not just a haven for plant enthusiasts but also a canvas for captivating sculptures. Among the many artworks, you'll find the graceful 'Lady' by Jue-Hua Liu Böckli in the lower front garden and the intriguing 'Encounter' tall wooden men in the secret garden. On the front lawn, marvel at the striking 'G' Polaris sculpture by Hsousi Knecht, who also created the elegant Harpe D'eau and the stunning 'Silver Spirit' in the Clocktower courtyard.

One of our latest additions is 'IDEAS' by Simon Gudgeon, a leading contemporary sculptor known for his minimalist, semi-abstract forms that capture movement and emotion. Gudgeon's work seamlessly blends spirit and nature, creating a visual harmony that enhances the serene ambiance of our gardens.
